Truth: Smoking is Good for you!

My neighbour Bioprin.posterous.com - they recently wrote a very informative article called "Myth: Cigerattes are evil. Truth: Smoking is Good for you!". 

Although it touches on many (must read) topics - it says worrying and guilt is more damaging to your immune system than almost anything!

It goes on to say that nicotine is good for your liver and looking pretty... but does not fail to mention the few toxins that do come in with smoking:

Great Diet, Great Workout... Whats next?

So you have a great diet working for you - you know you have to consume a certain percentage of raw foods into your diet. You also know that some amount of exercise and stretching is vital to keep the body in shape!

You even know that you have to eat anti-oxidant rich foods that will stop free radicals from damaging your cells, protecting your DNA...

What's next? Is this all there is to ultimate health? or is there more?

Apart from the very important mental health - which includes your emotional health, you still have to cover one more aspect about your health which is overlooked way too many times on every health blog. Its called detoxification. 

Your body goes through a lot of food over the years, most of the food gets digested and processed by the body - however, the accumulation of plague within the body gets built up in the stomach lining (this includes undigested food that sits there for months!) as well as artieries and even your vital organs (kidney stones for example) - all this slows down each organ's ability to do its job correctly - causing aging as we know today. 

Exercise and diet does not detoxify these organs too much, otherwise some sports athletes would not age very much, if at all - and live a really long life. Improve your Vision Naturally - Stop Wearing Glasses or Lenses!

Wearing prescription glasses/lenses for your eyesight is actually bad for your eyes - it even makes your eyesight worse off! 

How can anyone make such a bold statement?

You are given glasses/lenses because your eye muscles are not strong and flexible enough to focus on near/far objects - putting in a lens would allow you to focus on objects; the eye muscles do not have to work as much (if at all!). 

When a football player breaks his leg and stays in the hospital for months - what happens to his leg muscles? They weaken! The player is unable to run as fast, let alone walk; hence the reason for light exercises during and after recovery - so their muscles get built up again. This applies to all muscles - including eye muscles. If you wear glasses, you are not only continuously resting your eye muscles, but weakening them over a period of time - the reason why you may have to get stronger lenses later on. 

I am not yet saying to throw away your glasses just yet - because you still need them for operating machinery and even for driving your car safely - at least until you built up your eye strength - but as a start, you need to only wear your glasses when it is required by law and safety reasons as mentioned. 

How can I naturally improve eyesight?

I hope it is obvious by now that you would need an eye exercise program that would gradually challenge your eyes to work harder - improving your eyesight over time. It is a hard fact that pilots are given eye sight training which actually improves their vision beyond the 20/20 mark! And so can you!

5 Fast Facts about Vitamins & Supplements : Things they don't want you to know

Fact 1: Synthetic Vitamins are used in almost ALL supplements! (they are cheaper after all) - yes, even on those supplements calling themselves "All Natural". 

Fact 2: There is a huge difference between synthetic vitamins and natural vitamins - Synthetic Vitamins are extracted from non-food sources, things that you will never even think of eating. EXAMPLE: Synthetic Vitamin E is extracted from petroleum products - if humans and animals DON'T eat petroleum naturally, why would you dream of taking supplements derived of chemicals you cannot normally consume!?

Fact 4: Synthetic Vitamins have a different molecule structure to that of natural vitamins. But some researchers still use the same excuse to defend synthetic vitamins, that their absorption is exactly the same - who cares if absorption is the same when the end result is NOT. 

Fact 5: When Researchers want to show ineffectiveness of vitamins whilst comparing them to their "superior" patented products - they use synthetic vitamins NOT real natural vitamins.
